“Swing through the vineyards of the Collio:” the Golf & Country Club Castello di Spessa is an 18 hole course surrounded by vineyards of the renown Collio, the Castello di Spessa (built in the 13th century) and its beautiful gardens. These diverse backdrops give golfers the impression of playing in three different courses immersed between vineyards and olive trees.
It also has a driving range that faces the castle and has 20 positions.
This “championship” 18 hole golf course, with its vast landscape, water obstacles and a particularly difficult bunker, is immersed in the beautiful and uncontaminated lagoon area of Grado.
Thanks to Grado’s inviting mild climate, the perfectly drained course is open all year round. The Golf club hosts international golfing events and courses for players of all levels.
There is an on-site pro-shop and an adjoining marina with 200 mooring spaces for those who wish to reach the course by boat.
Trieste Golf Club was the first golf club to open in Friuli Venezia Giulia in 1954. The course is based on the holes made by the English and Americans members of the Allied Military Administration after the end of the Second World War.
Nestled in a splendid location between the characteristic hills of the Carso and the majestic gulf, this 18 hole course is just 350 meters from the sea.
The Trieste Golf Club is open to golfers of all levels and is worth the visit even for just a peek at its views of the Gulf of Trieste and the coastline down to Istria, as well as the Grado and Marano lagoons.
The Lignano Golf club lies between the mouth of the Tagliamento river and the suggestive Marano lagoon. It is an 18 hole course extending over 70 hectares of beautifully manicured lawn, a spectacle for golfers of all levels.
Long fairways, ample space and vast roughs made of natural sand (Arizona) alternate with mirrored lakes and hardy pine trees revealing a varied and winning course.
The elegant golf clubhouse hosts the lobby, a restaurant, a pro-shop, a conference room and a beautiful view of the course.
